Sharjah Residency Organized a “Sign Language” Training Course

General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs - Sharjah, in collaboration with “AlThiqa” Disabled Club, held a course in sign language to the front staff between 15 to 19 February, 2015 at AlThiqa disabled Club

27 staff, officers and civilians from various branches Participated in the session, provided by an expert and signal translator Mr. Salah Abdul Rahim, the session focused on the principles of sign language and methods of communication between management staff and clients with special needs category, making it easier to meet and identify their needs and requirements.

The participants expressed their admiration for training in sign language and that they are trying to implement and teach what they have learned, where confirmed that they are waiting impatiently to finish the first phase, to join  other advanced courses in sign language.

It is noteworthy that this is the first session held by the Sharjah Residency in cooperation with “AlThiqa” club.
